i've been requested to post, haha

I'm posting! It's been almost a month. I've been so busy. Yikes!

Here's one thing I'm learning. Jesus is perfect. (You're all like, "No really?") But think about that one statement. He is absolutely perfect. Just think about that. I've come to the conclusion, that no matter how much we think we know about how perfect God is, if we take the time to think on that single revelation, we will always go to another level. Everything He does is good. Everything. You're life is amazing. My life is perfect. I have the perfect life! Not because it's filled with positive thinking, haha, but because God designed it. Oh my goodness! Guys, my past, my sins, my struggles, my failures, my mistakes, my good times, my bad times, my hopes, my dreams, my patterns, everything about me paints one huge picture of perfection. Not my perfection, though I am perfected through Him. But the picture of my life is perfect the way it is. Everything that has ever happened to me happened by the perfect plan God has for my life. Everything is for my good. God is perfect. HE CAN DO NO WRONG!

Another side to this, is... get ready for it... Jesus is perfect! (Sound familiar?) When Jesus walked on this earth, He went through everything we've ever been through. He had all the same temptations, all the same struggles, dealt with the same issues, etc. But He went through it all perfectly. That means that God indeed has a perfect way to overcome everything. It's in Jesus, and the more we fall in love with Him, the more we become like Him. And if we'd take the time to listen to His voice, He would teach us how to live, perfectly. In every situation, He is speaking to us. He is saying, "I've been through that, here's how I did it." Isn't He amazing?! We'd be foolish to ignore the advice of someone who's already been through everything and done it perfectly. But that's what we have in Christ, a never ending source of perfection. Not that we have to work up to it, but a perfection that we live in, not from our works or internal motivation, but the reality given to us from God. This perfection is a source from which we can live our lives.

God is so good. You can never get enough revelation of the goodness of God. It will take all of eternity to discover just how good and perfect He is.

its time again!

I think it's time for another post. I haven't updated in a while, so here goes nothing...

First of all, I'm sitting here feeling slighty sick from eating three egg sandwiches and an apple for lunch. It probably doesn't help that I only got like five hours of sleep last night either...

So here's what I want to talk about. You know what's really, really cool? Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is in us! In us! The whole Kingdom! Every stinking part of it! Except it doesn't stink! It rocks! And Jesus said that He is the door to Heaven and its always standing open. So we have permanent and immediate access to the Kingdom of Heaven all the time because the Door to Heaven is in us! Jesus is the Door! That means that there is no where I can go where I'm not completely filled with the whole reality of Heaven. That means in every situation I step into in life, I have the throne room inside of me, with all of the authority of the God of the universe! That means that when I see someone limping in the store, that I carry a greater reality than their pain. And if I choose to, I can release that reality into them and their pain cannot stand in the presence of Heaven in me! Heaven is not for the future. It's for now and it's in us! And I can release it or stop it up by what I say.

By the way... Is is possible that one of the reasons we (or maybe just me) don't see as much healing as others is because (well #1, we don't step out and take the risk, haha) when we pray for people, we are so focused on their sickness, praying for them, how nervous we are, just getting it over with already, etc... that we loose sight of what we carry in us? I think that's true for me. When I step out and pray for strangers for healing, I get intimidated by their pain, or disease or whatever and forget that I carry the Kingdom in me. God be praised that I don't have a spirit of timidity in me anymore though! Lord give me more revelation of that, hehe.

In other news, I'm reading Bill Johnson's book The Supernatural Power of a Transformed mind. My lovely girlfriend gave it to me last Christmas and I've finally started reading it. I think it's BJ's best book and its really impacting me. If you haven't read it, check it out!

Love

Last night I think I had one of the most amazing conversations with God I've ever had. I had a rough evening, lost my temper, and was later feeling thouroughly disgusted with myself, so I opened up my journal and asked for forgiveness, (its amazing how ready God is to forgive everything we've ever done). I then asked God what He wanted to say to me (if you ever have trouble knowing what to journal about, just ask God what He wants to talk about, He always has something). And He started talking about how much He loves me. He went back to before time began, and started talking about how He designed me before the world began, how He planned out my life before He created our universe. He told me how He designed my destiny before humans were ever created. And then He said how excited He was to send me to this earth, to see me live my life. He went over my whole life with me, and He showed me how He planned everything that has ever happened to me so that I could be where I am right now, completely in love with Him and everything He has done and is doing. I then read through John 13-17 and God again hammered into me how much He loves me. If you need to know God's love, read those chapters. It's the last evening Jesus had with His disciples, and you can see how passionate He was about them; and that's how He feels about us. These are probably my favorite sections:

"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going." Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." - John 14:1-6.

"I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."

Oh my gosh! Do you realize that God's deepest desire, since before time began, above all other things, above everything that pleases Him, His deepest desire has been to be one with you and me, to be with us wherever we go, and to have us with Him wherever He goes? That was Jesus' prayer! That was the Father's heart! That was the Holy Spirit's joy! God is so madly in love with us that He prepared many dwelling places. He prepared our hearts and spirits to house Him when He died on the cross. Jesus was not talking about heaven, He was talking about the mystery of the Gospel. Jesus, when He died on the cross, prepared our spirits to be His dwelling place for the rest of eternity; and when we prayed and received Him, He received us into His home, our spirit. This was God's plan! This is His plan! He just wants to be with us, talk with us, spend time with us, and be with us as we live our lives on this earth and then continue into heaven.

His love is beyond imagination. He was so loving that He needed to create us. He needed to become one with us to complete His love. His love is complete in us for we are in Him and He is in us. This love is beyond the love of a husband and wife, it's beyond anything humans have experienced. It's breathtaking. I love Your love Father...
